 TYCC CLUB NIGHTS starts on 9th June 2009 from 1600 till 1900

Tower Youth Climbing Club (TYCC) – Club Information

  • Club Duration:                                      3 Hours
  • Frequency:                                           2 Club nights per week
  • Days of Week:                                     Tuesday & Thursday
  • Number of Weeks of Operation:        50 per year (Closed over Christmas)
  • Numbers of Instructor:                         1 (Acting as session supervisor only)
Club Annual Membership:                             £25.00 per member, payable by member 
Club Subs Tuesday and Thursday Eve:         £2.50 per member, per session (Normal Cost £3.00)

Objectives of the Club

  • To promote the interests of climbing and mountaineering amongst members of the Club.
  • To provide an opportunity for members of the Club to meet and participate in climbing and mountaineering activities together.
  • To act on behalf of and in the interests of Club members.
  • To promote awareness of the need to maintain access, conservation and protection of the cliff and mountain environment.
  • To take part in the work and activities of the British Mountaineering Council (BMC).
  • To provide a pathway to local, regional and National competitions.
  • To provide further opportunities for members to become young leaders once they have turned 18.
 *BMC = British Mountaineering Council, the Governing Body for Climbing and Mountaineering as a junior member this is included in the membership of the TYCC and they will receive the benefits of being a BMC Member.
